Amanda Manzer
Where science, intuition, and the art of receiving meet.
You don't need to understand Reiki before you come. Come curious. Come skeptical. Come deeply spiritual. Come tired. Come because something about Reiki keeps pulling at you and you have absolutely no idea why. We can start there.
Amanda's journey
For most of my life, I have tried to understand people. I became a therapist. A trauma specialist. I studied psychology, behavior, relationships, attachment, the nervous system, and the ways our experiences shape us. Give me a pattern and I want to understand where it came from. Give me a question and I will probably go looking for the research. For more than a decade, I have had the privilege of sitting with people through trauma, grief, transition, uncertainty, and the complicated process of finding their way back to themselves. And I am also deeply intuitive. For a long time, those two parts of me felt like they belonged in different rooms. Reiki changed that.
I came to Reiki curious, open, and with a healthy amount of skepticism. I wasn't looking to abandon what I knew. I was interested in what might exist alongside it.
What I found was a practice that challenged my need to understand everything before I trusted my experience. I began noticing things I couldn't always explain: images, sensations, emotions, metaphors, and a sense of knowing before something was spoken. Again and again, things that seemed abstract to me held meaning for the person receiving Reiki. Eventually, I stopped asking myself to choose between the clinician and the intuitive.
My own journey with Reiki unfolded alongside grief, transition, and some deeply personal healing. It taught me something I had spent years encouraging others to practice but hadn't always extended to myself: Permission. Permission to not have the answer. Permission to slow down. Permission to trust what I notice. Permission to receive.
One of the most important realizations of my Reiki training came during a period when life had pulled me away from the coursework. I thought I had fallen behind, only to return and realize that everything being taught—resistance, surrender, intuition, trust—was exactly what I had been living. I wasn't behind. I was in it. That lesson continues to shape the way I practice.
I don't believe healing needs to be forced. I don't believe resistance means something is wrong. And I don't believe another person should tell you what your experience means. My role is to create a grounded, supportive space where you can become curious about what is already there. You remain the authority on you.
“I wasn't behind. I was in it.”
I began Reiki thinking I was adding another tool. Instead, it changed my relationship with myself. It taught me to trust what I notice. To stop dismissing intuition simply because I couldn't immediately explain it. To recognize that surrender and passivity are not the same thing. That resistance has wisdom. That receiving is vulnerable. That presence matters. And perhaps most importantly: Energy does not require my perfection. It requires my presence.

My approach is warm, grounded, intuitive, trauma-informed, and curious. I don't believe healing needs to be forced, and I don't believe resistance means you're doing something wrong. Sometimes resistance is protection. Sometimes your body needs a little time before it believes that it's actually allowed to rest. I honor and respect that. We begin by talking. What brought you here? What's happening in your world? What feels heavy? What are you curious about? Together, we'll set an intention for the session. Then we slow things down. For in-person sessions, you'll get comfortable with an eye mask and other comfort items available. I'll guide you through grounding and imagery, giving your mind and body time to transition out of doing. Then Reiki begins. When the Reiki portion of an in-person session ends, I'm not interested in immediately sending you back out into traffic. We come back slowly. There is complimentary tea. There is time to integrate. Sometimes the profound thing is that you rested for an hour.
Discovery Call | 30 Minutes | Complimentary Connection matters. This complimentary conversation gives us an opportunity to meet before you book. There is no obligation to schedule afterward. 30-Minute Intro Session | $44 A gentle introduction for those who are new to Reiki or simply curious about energy work. The number 44 holds an intention of grounding, stability, and foundation—a beautiful place to begin. 60-Minute Reiki Session | $137 — The Cosmic Bridge A full Reiki experience with time to arrive, ground, receive, and integrate. I chose 137 because the fine-structure constant in physics is approximately 1/137—a number connected to the interaction of light and matter and one that has long fascinated physicists. For me, it beautifully represents the intersection between what we can understand and what remains mysterious. 90-Minute Extended Session | $177 — Spiritual Wisdom & Deep Awakening For those wanting more space to settle in and explore. This extended session allows additional time for guided imagery, Reiki, intuitive exploration, energetic work, and integration. The repeating seven holds an intention of intuition, inner wisdom, and spiritual exploration. 3-Session Commitment | $333 — Creative Expansion & Alignment Three 60-90 minute Reiki sessions for those who want continuity and the opportunity to notice what unfolds both during and between sessions. 4-Session Transformation | $444 — The Master Foundation Four 60-90 minute sessions offering a longer container for grounding, receiving, reflection, and integration.

“I went into my session not really understanding Reiki or knowing if I believed it could actually work. I'm also not someone who relaxes easily, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Reiki with Amanda was amazing. She created such a calm, relaxing environment, and the softness of her voice helped my body fully relax, which really surprised me. She was knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire experience. I will absolutely schedule another session with her.”
“I received a long-distance reiki session from Amanda in January focusing on nervous system regulation. At the time, I was feeling overstimulated and emotionally heightened. During the session, I felt a shift into calm and grounding, like my body moved out of survival mode. What really stood out to me was the lasting impact. I've felt more regulated, clear-headed, and emotionally steady since our session. Amanda's work is deeply attuned and effective, even with long distance. I would recommend her to anyone who wants meaningful energy work.”
“I had a virtual session with Amanda and it was a great experience from start to finish. Even online, she created a calm and focused environment that made the process feel natural and intentional. Her approach is thoughtful and well-structured, and the session brought forward a few meaningful insights that stayed with me afterward. I truly appreciate the professionalism and care she brings into her work.”
“Amanda is truly a gifted reiki healer. Her energy is joyful yet calm, and she brings such kindness, groundedness, and creativity to her work. I felt safe, supported, and gently uplifted throughout the experience. I felt more definitely heard and seen. What stood out to me most was how she helped me reconnect with a sense of playfulness, something that is not always easy for me to access on my own. Her presence invited ease, imagination, and lightness in a way that felt natural and healing. I would highly recommend booking a session with Amanda.”
“I met Amanda during my first time taking a reiki course. In that time getting to know her, I found her to have a kind and steady energy. I have received long-distance reiki from her and greatly enjoyed those sessions. She brought me a very grounding energy for when I was struggling with a difficult time. I really enjoyed working with her.”
Every session is different. You may feel deeply relaxed. You might notice warmth, tingling, movement, emotion, imagery, memories, colors, or unexpected insight. You might fall asleep. You might feel something you can't quite put into words. You might spend half the session wondering whether anything is happening at all. All of that is okay. There is no performance here. During our session, I may also notice sensations, images, metaphors, emotions, or intuitive impressions. If I do, I can share them with you afterward. Sometimes they land immediately. Sometimes they make sense later. Sometimes they mean absolutely nothing to you. That's okay too. I'm not here to tell you what your experience means. You are the authority on you. Anything I notice is simply something I can place on the table between us. You get to decide whether you pick it up.
I want to be very clear about something: Reiki with me is not therapy. I'm not diagnosing you. I'm not providing psychotherapy during your Reiki session. And Reiki is not a replacement for mental health or medical care.
My clinical background influences the way I understand people and hold space. Reiki is where I allow something different to happen within that space.
